Entebbe

Entebbe is a 2018 action thriller film directed by José Padilha. The film recounts the story of Operation Entebbe, a hostage rescue operation following the hijacking of Air France flight 139 en route from Israel to Paris in 1976. The film stars Rosamund Pike and Daniel Brühl.

BlueBolt built CG planes that were composited into the live action plates. Malta airport was turned into Benghazi airport as well as the final destination of Entebbe airport, Uganda. We filmed lots of tourist planes landing and taking off at Malta airport which were then used as a type of pre-vis before being completely replaced with BlueBolt’s CG planes and CG environments.
