Lighting TD – 6 month contract, London, immediate start

Skills:

  • Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with pipeline issues
  • General TD background desirable
  • Full knowledge of Maya
  • Must have production experience creating shot lighting and rendering
  • Showreels featuring ‘photoreal’ work would be preferred.
  • Happy working independently with strong creative & technical input.
  • Good communication skills & attitude 

This role will require you to:

  • Report to the Head of 3D, VFX Supervisor and Production team
  • be team orientated, motivated and able to follow a brief.
  • be able to learn quickly and troubleshoot logically.

Pipeline Developer (R&D tools)

Pipeline TD (R&D tools) – contract, London, start date: immediate

Skills/experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in development.
  • Strong Python, Linux/Unix shell, Data Pipelines.
  • Pipelines for Foundry tools such as Nuke, Mari and Hiero.
  • General technical problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

This role will require you to:

  • Work closely with department heads and the production team.
  • Develop and maintain BlueBolt’s pipelines & tools using SCRUM.
  • Provide day-to-day support to creative and production teams.
  • Report to the CTO.

Desirable but not required:

  • Render Management software such as Deadline, Tractor, Grid Engine.
  • Understanding of colour workflow in VFX.
  • TD / Render Engineer experience with renderers such as Arnold.
  • C++, Maya Mel scripting.
  • Experience in using 2d/3d applications in a production environment.
  • Experience in working in a SCRUM based development environment.
  • Experience in Maya/Nuke API development and Shotgun Toolkit.

Mid/Senior 3D Generalist

Mid/Senior 3D Generalist – 6 months contract, London, start date: immediate

Essential Skills:

  • General Shot TDing, layout, lighting rendering
  • Experience in dynamics and/or crowd simulations
  • 3D realistic modelling, texturing, shading

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of working in packages such as Mari or Z-brush an advantage

This role will require you to:

  • Report to the 3D Supervisor
  • Be team orientated, motivated and able to follow a brief
  • Be a fast learner and troubleshoot logically
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience of working in ‘Feature films’ or ‘Broadcast’

We appreciate that candidate may have varying levels of knowledge in the fields listed above but we are looking for an experienced all-rounder.

Applicants with long term experience in other areas of 3D (i.e. Games) may also be considered.

Digital Matte Painter

Digital Matte Painter – Fixed term contract, salary dependent on experience, London based

Skills/experience:

  • Proven track record in TV or film work previously
  • Good level of experience and proficiency in photoreal Matte Painting techniques using Photoshop.
  • Proven experience of setting up DMP projections in Nuke/Maya.
  • Experience of stills photography, perspective, composition & colour space.
  • Knowledge of Compositing, 3D Modelling, Lighting and Rendering are an advantage.

  • Report to Visual Effects Supervisors.
  • Be team orientated, motivated and able to follow a brief.
  • Be able to learn quickly and troubleshoot logically.
