The Last Kingdom Season 5

Having been the lead vendor on all previous seasons, BlueBolt created all the visual effects for the fifth and final season of The Last Kingdom, delivering 782 VFX shots for the popular show produced by Carnival Films for Netflix. BlueBolt’s work encompassed environment extensions, sprawling CG armies, historically accurate CG ships, blood addition and modern clean-up. A substantial amount of motion capture was used in this season, a change from the previous seasons. BlueBolt purchased two motion capture suits, allowing them to body-track stunt performers and animate these actions in their CG characters.
